The apostle Paul ended his first letter to the Corinthians with, "Be on the alert, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong". When God created man, he made them male and female. Being born male is by divine design, while becoming a man is by daily decisions.

Being a real man is both an honour and a challenge. It is an honour because it's a gift given by God, and it is a challenge because it's forged in battle. Real men slay their giants. Whether as fathers, husbands, sons or brothers, we glorify God by becoming the men that Jesus calls us to be.
