The apostle Paul tells us in 1 Corinthians 16:13 to be on the alert, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong. At the centre of this admonition is the phrase “act like men.” There is little doubt that Paul is not referring to the talent of acting, like you find in Hollywood. He means that we should act like the man that God created us to be. There are few things more important today than our manhood and manliness, and few things that contribute to it like men gathering to be encouraged, inspired and challenged.
